Tas Original 1 - "FUDŌ × TENGU: FIRE & TIDE" For Metal for Nepal

A one-of-one original painting by Tas Danazoglou, bringing together the fierce iconography of Fudō Myōō and the Tengu in a striking hybrid figure surrounded by fire and crashing water.

At the centre, the figure stands divided between two identities — dark and light, restraint and fury, guardian and trickster — sword in hand and framed by an almost volcanic halo of flames. Beneath, turbulent waves collide with the fire, creating a piece built around opposing forces: discipline and chaos, destruction and protection, stillness and movement.

The traditional Japanese influence is unmistakable, but the execution is unmistakably Tas — saturated colour, dense detail, bold linework and the kind of composition that feels like it could have been pulled straight from a full backpiece.
