"Beltane's Box" by Twin Sun Store

This piece marks the first release from Twin Sun Store’s spring-to-summer collection, inspired by the vivid colours and intricate geometry of traditional Amish quilting.

Velvet-lined and entirely hand-painted, the display case takes its palette from the River Ouse and the lush landscape surrounding it — bursting green riverbanks, rich clay earth, and the rolling hills of the South Downs.

Hattie became captivated by vintage Amish quilts and their striking corridors of colour, precise geometry, and maze-like patterns. Their rhythm and structure felt naturally connected to the view from her East Sussex window, where flowering hills and changing seasonal colours provide a constant source of inspiration.

A one-of-a-kind functional artwork, made slowly and by hand.
