Scorpion Souvenir Ring
Scorpion Souvenir Ring
Our take on the classic Mexican Biker Ring or Souvenir Ring.
After the Mexican Civil War when the Peso was almost valueless, jewellers melted down their currency and transformed it to jewellery so they could sell the metal based on artistic value.
This style of ring was first discovered by American and Mexican motorcycle clubs in the 1940s, they were a much sort after product due to the ban on brass knuckles. These sturdy rings became the legal replacements for brass knuckles.
This "Scorpion Souvenir Ring" is handmade from a combination of Sterling Silver and Crushed Turquoise sourced from the northern state of Sonora. It features two scorpions on its shoulders and a weed leaf on it's face.
Weighing approximately 10g, this ring can be crafted in size K - T. (USA equivalent: 5 - 10)
