KINGS ROAD: THE FINAL RUN
Our Kings Road Collection comes to an end this Sunday, 8 November.
First, a huge thank you to everyone who has already preordered from the collection. Every order means more than you know, especially with a collection like this one — something that came from a place of genuine obsession with music, subculture, old clothing and the people who used fashion as a way to push back.
Kings Road takes its name from the stretch of London that became one of the most important streets in British fashion history.
During the 1970s, Kings Road became a meeting point for music, art, fashion and rebellion. Boutiques appeared alongside record shops and clubs, and the street became closely associated with the people who would eventually shape British punk.
Before punk became a uniform, it was an attitude.
Clothes were cut up, pinned together, painted, patched, ripped apart and rebuilt. Old tailoring sat beside tartan, leather, military references and pieces that looked like they had already lived several lives.
That DIY spirit is what inspired this collection.
We were never interested in recreating punk as a costume. Kings Road is our interpretation of that period — taking the silhouettes, textures and attitude of the 70s and early punk movement and filtering them through Electric Sun.
There is a little glamour in it. A little chaos. A little confrontation.
Tartan flares, oversized shapes, hooded pieces, patches and clothing designed to feel slightly undone rather than overly polished.
More than anything, it is about individuality.
Electric Sun has always existed somewhere outside of fast fashion. We make small runs. We work by hand. We use recycled and upcycled materials wherever we can. We make pieces slowly, and we want them to be worn for years rather than for one season.
That philosophy feels very connected to the original spirit behind punk clothing.
Use what you have.
Change it.
Repair it.
Make it yours.
Wear it until it falls apart.
THE FINAL WEEKEND
Kings Road was created as a limited preorder collection, and the current run closes this Sunday.
After that, we begin making the final orders.
We won’t be keeping the full collection permanently available, and we can’t promise that every piece will return.
So if there is something you have been thinking about, this is the final weekend to order from the collection.
To everyone who has already placed an order - thank you for supporting what we make.
After almost ten years of Electric Sun, it still feels incredibly special to see something that began as a sketch, an old photograph, a record, a piece of fabric or a strange idea eventually become something somebody chooses to wear.
That is the whole point.
